In the mountains?
"I remember dreaming of living in nature when I was a small kid. But that didn't sound possible because what could I do for living? Being a farmer is not my ideal choice either. So I shut that dream down for a moment and chose to study business 💰.
Things almost seemed to work until I worked in a company and found out that didn't work out 😆. And the next move that I chose to do was one of the biggest surprise in my family which was being a tattoo artist 😎🎨. After being and tattooing in Chiang Mai city for awhile, things led me (and my parents) to think that this would work. Until I felt like something was missing, hmmm...what was it?
Turned out, it was the dream of living in nature that was missing. So I'd decided moving up to the mountains and started a new journey, being a tattoo artist...in the mountains 🌿⛰️☀️."

Nate is so passionate about nature, so his tattoos mainly reflect nature and animals (Surprise! 😂) in the mixture of realism, blackwork, abstract art and fine linework.

"Well, I always love nature and simple lifestyle. One day I came visiting Mae Wang and fell in love with it. The mountains scene was beautiful. People here was friendly, and ready to jump in to help you. It was so peaceful and super chill. Plus, I love giving back to communities especially things with kids, which Mae Wang gave me big opportunity to do that"

5. A bit about Nate
Tattoo & Flow
“Where did the flow in your tattoos come from?” I was asked during an interview.
Going back when I was a little boy, I remember always drawing something out of my imagination. And nahh, it wasn’t pretty but I was always happy when I drew.
I also remember that I liked to add some “movement” into my drawing and imagined it moved. Then I would sit quietly looking at my drawing and played it in my head. That was a scene that people often saw but not often understand.
“I guess that was how it started” I told an interviewer.
That little boy has never gone away, but these days, he has turned his world into something that people more understand.

Our tattoo studio is in the mountains because we love nature and simple life. Yes..it's quite far from the city but we love to have everyone as close as our friend 😊🌿

6. How to get here?
Nate really encourages you to take a yellow truck, so you can enjoy the local lifestyle more. But taking Grab taxi will work easily too.
Then he will come meet and pick you up halfway at Ban Kat Market.
But of course, if you love to drive to the studio yourself, it's a good way to enjoy the local too.
